A Curated Box!
We are so excited to have partnered with two incredible Seattle hospitality legends for this release. With a focus on honoring Filipinx culture and heritage, we looked to Nelson and Melissa for their expertise.
*CORRECTION: Some of the recipe book’s printed with an incorrect version, so please enjoy this pdf for your cooking needs!
Nelson Daquip
is the guest sommelier for our September box. Nelson has been the wine director for 15 years at Canlis, one of Seattle’s most loved restaurants. With Nelson as wine director and Jackson as assistant wine director, Canlis took home the James Beard award for Outstanding Wine Program in 2017. Nelson has taught Jackson most of what Jackson knows about wine and hospitality.
Melissa Miranda
Melissa is our featured chef in the September box. After stints abroad living in Italy and learning to cook and speak Italian there, she worked in such hallowed Seattle establishments as London Plane and Bar del Corso. She opened her own Filipinx restaurant Musang in January 2020 to critical and popular acclaim.
