baked strawberries with sweet balsamic vinegar
If you’ve been following Crunchy Red Fruit for any amount of time, you’ll know that we absolutely adore Grenache. It’s a grape that has many different interpretations, but we’ll drink most of them any time. We love it because it is aromatic, full-bodied, and complex.
This is a different expression of Côtes-du-Rhône since it’s 100% Grenache. Usually these are blended wines that use a lot of Syrah and Mourvèdre. But as a monovarietal wine, this absolutely crushes. It’s full of character and intrigue, and twangs on your palate with the first sip.
Grenache is all about strawberry - in this wine’s case, it’s baked strawberries coated with sweet balsamic vinegar. That strawberry and spice are supplemented by violets, rosemary, orange peel and lovely note of savory herbes-de-Provence.

in partnership with Kelly and Ashley of @kinfoodco
We wanted to partner with a local company that knows how to make delicious food- with local ingredients.
Harvest Salad
Pairing wine this incredible with a salad that is equally delicious should probably be illegal. But we’re not complaining :)
Music: “Campo de Vampiros” by Los Holy’s
Grenache just has that spicy, herbal twang. I wanted a song with lots of funk and twang. And here we are, after a Spotify rabbit hole into 60s Latino garage bands
